Inje-gun announced that the "2024 Inje Autumn Flower Festival" ended its 23-day journey.

This year's festival, held at Yongdae Tourist Site in Inje-gun under the theme of "Let's walk only on flower paths in Inje," was decorated with various themes to provide visitors with a variety of things to see and enjoy, and gardens and trails filled with colorful chrysanthemum flowers and more than 30 kinds of wild flowers were crowded with visitors every day.

After the refurbishment, Pine Forest has gained popularity among family visitors due to its various experiences and relaxations, including tree climbing, leading to word of mouth, and convenience facilities such as toilets, parking lots, and rest areas, which have been expanded compared to previous years, have also contributed to the festival's success, further increasing visitors' satisfaction.

As a result, the number of visitors increased sharply, exceeding 100,000 in nine days after the opening, showing an unusual box office performance. As of 10 a.m. on Oct. 20, the last day of the festival, the cumulative number of visitors reached 240,000, exceeding the target of 200,000.

In particular, since the opening of this year's festival, the average daily number of visitors has been counted as 6,907 on weekdays and 15,675 on holidays, 1.8 times higher than last year's weekdays (3,883) and 1.4 times higher than holidays (11,411). It was a box office success, recording a higher number of daily visitors despite fewer holidays and the number of days when the festival was held than in previous years.

A series of visitors led to consumption in the region, which directly helped the local economy. The cumulative sales of local agricultural products and food at the well-being market recorded about 700 million won (as of October 19, 2024). In order to promote consumption of foreigners in the region, the Inje County Cultural Foundation developed its own application and conveniently provided tourist, accommodation, and food information to induce visitors to stay and consume throughout Inje County.

At the same time, organizations and residents such as autonomous crime prevention squads and volunteer firefighters in six towns and villages worked as parking and event management personnel, helping to successfully operate the festival.

Inje County Governor Choi Sang-ki said, "I hope those who visited the Inje Autumn Flower Festival felt healing and happiness, and we will visit you next year in a new and more advanced form following the reputation of Inje County's representative festival in autumn."

Meanwhile, the Inje County Cultural Foundation plans to analyze the results and effects of this year's festival and hold a performance report to prepare for more substantial event management.
