▲ Yangyang County, Yangyang Chrysanthemum Festival to be held from Oct. 3

Yangyang-gun announced that the "2024 Yangyang Chrysanthemum Festival" will be held from October 3 to 20 at the Yangyang-gun Agricultural Technology Center.

The Yangyang Chrysanthemum Festival, which marks its first anniversary this year, is a beautiful chrysanthemum-themed tourism product that promotes local cultural tourism resources with things to see and enjoy, and is held to generate income for local farmers and revitalize agriculture and rural areas, the county said. "Visitors can face chrysanthemums full of autumn scent throughout the venue, and they can have a healing time walking through green ecological parks with it."

In addition, the county added that exhibitions such as chrysanthemums and sculptures will be held from 09:00 to 20:00 before the festival, and other booths will be operated from 10:00 to 18:00 until the 13th, and will be prepared as a rich autumn festival that all visitors to the chrysanthemum festival are satisfied.

The festival will feature exhibitions of chrysanthemums and sculptures, the 4th Chrysanthemum Bonsai Research Exhibition, a flower market, a farmers market that sells agricultural products and handicrafts, a Scandiamos star flower experience, a free tasting to promote Korean money consumption, an ecological photo exhibition, food trucks and stage performances.

Starting with the pre-performance on October 5 at 4:30 p.m., the Chrysanthemum Bonsai Awards ceremony will be held, awarding a total of eight works, including the Mok and Seokbu Best Work and Outstanding Work, Bonsai Best Work and Outstanding Work, and the Lying Cinema Concert will be held from 18:20 as a night event.

In addition, if you spend more than a certain amount at the farmers market, flower market, and experience booth by October 13, Hat rice will be presented. (Payment until exhaustion)

In particular, Oct. 19 and 20 are small pop-up days, with various experience and tasting events such as tasting chrysanthemum tea, making pressed key rings, and coloring Yangyang picture postcards, along with additional farmers' markets, busking performances, and free tasting of Handon.
