The 2023 Achievement Festival will be held in Sol Beach, Yangyang, for two days on January 19 and 20 to spread the sharing of operational performance and promotion of various industries and jobs of the 2023 Higher Vocational Education Base District (HiVE) project, which is being promoted by Yangyang-gun and Gangwon Provincial University.

 

The Higher Vocational Education Base District (HiVE) project is a project supported by the Ministry of Education that contributes to local communities by cooperating with local governments and colleges to foster talent in regional specialization fields, co-prosperity of local, university-industry, and conducting programs to solve pending issues in the region.

 

The Higher Vocational Education Base District (HiVE) project, which is promoted by Yangyang-Goseong-gun-Gangwon Provincial University, will promote improvement of youth settlement conditions and strengthening the competitiveness of local industries through fostering human resources in specialized local industries, upgrading lifelong vocational education for residents, and contributing to local communities.

 

Yangyang-gun and Gangwon Provincial University selected hotels, tourism, and marine leisure as regional specialties and planned to cultivate manpower. In the second year of last year, they operated lifelong vocational curriculum (29), community contribution tasks (4), WE, and SAVE ECO (training of environmental experts).

 

Three programs in regional specialization (marine leisure, hotel tourism, and Ocean New Deal experts), five curriculums, nine detailed programs Three programs in general (smart logistics, landscaping and heavy equipment, human care), eight curriculums, and 20 detailed programs were operated, and more than 300 county residents completed them.

 

In particular, last year, it was evaluated that the satisfaction of those who completed the well-dying psychological counselor training course and the park golf leadership course was high by reflecting the characteristics of the region.

 

More than 100 people, including Yangyang County and Gangwon Provincial University officials, HiVE Center President Park Byung-soo, industry officials, and program trainees, will attend the festival to share the second year's operational performance, solidify cooperation with each related institution, and seek ways to operate the next year.

 

In particular, at the performance festival venue, experience zones linked to various industries and occupations and exhibition zone booths containing operation results for each program will operate from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. during the festival, providing participants with opportunities for various indirect experiences.

 

In addition, free shuttle buses (Hi-BUS, HiVE-BUS) for each town and town will be operated so that students and residents can enjoy performance festivals together with the promotion of the higher vocational education hub district project.

 

A county official said, "Through this performance-sharing meeting, we expect to share and spread last year's business excellence and derive improvements for next year's business operation to create sustainable results." "We plan to build a virtuous cycle system that leads to education, employment, and continuous settlement by focusing on fostering local resident talents in line with regional specialization."

 

Meanwhile, Yangyang-gun signed a business agreement with Gangwon Provincial University in April 2022 for the higher vocational education hub district project, and from June 2022 to February 2025, it is promoting lifelong vocational education courses such as fostering human resources in specialized local industries to improve local settlement conditions and strengthen industrial competitiveness, upgrading lifelong vocational education for residents, and contributing to local communities.
