▲ Wellness Beach Festival Held at Naksan Beach in Yangyang

Yangyang-gun announced that the "Yangyang Wellness Beach Festival" will be held from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on August 24 at Naksan Beach D District in Yangyang.

The event will recruit a total of 150 people, including young people who enjoy activities and those interested in wellness and healing, and various healing programs such as Animal Flow (full-body exercise that imitates animal movements), yoga, surfing, hula dance, meditation, and Soundbeth (meditation using singing balls) will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The wellness beach festival was prepared to provide participants with a wellness experience against the backdrop of the beautiful Yangyang Naksan Beach, as the Yangyang-gun Tourism Council (Sullemyang Social Cooperative, Yangyang-gun Rural Experience Village Council, and Surf City Cooperative) was selected for the 2024 Rural Creature Support Project organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs in April, the county said. "The venue will also have a relaxation zone where you can rest on the main stage, under the shade, and a food and beverage booth centered on local brands to provide a comfortable place for visitors."

In particular, he added that an indie band performance will be held at 8:30 p.m. after the experience time ends to provide participants with something to enjoy.

Participation methods can be booked for a fee through the reservation website and T-Moneygo app (Travel Product-Rural Tour Pass-Yangyang-gun Blue Wind Wellness Beach Festival), and you can choose from two types of experiences with a full admission ticket (echo bag, towel, etc.) along with all experience participation and performance viewing, and a surfing and wellness license with added surfing lessons.

An event official said, "We hope this Wellness Beach Festival will be a new experience for visitors to heal," and added, "We will try to develop rural specialized themed tourism contents that can show the charm of sheep."

Meanwhile, Yangyang-gun and the Yangyang Tourism Council are pushing for a 2024 rural creatour support project, and will form a rural specialized theme tour program where visitors can enjoy seasonal specialized unique experiences along with surfing, a representative marine leisure in four areas: spring, summer, autumn, and winter, centering on rural experience and recreation villages.

In order to create continuous demand for rural travel by newly contenting existing rural tourism products, it plans to provide a stay-type tourism product that allows visitors to learn, relax, enjoy, and express themselves while participating in activities.
