Hosted by the Sokcho Maritime Industrial Complex Council and sponsored by Sokcho City, the "2024 Sokcho Maritime Industrial Complex Workers' Culture Festival" will be held at the large parking lot of the Daepo 3rd Agricultural and Industrial Complex on the 5th.

A festival official said, "This festival is a venue for harmony where 600 business owners and domestic and foreign workers participate in Sokcho Marine Industrial Complex to hang out together and share each other's culture," adding, "A total of 14 teams are expected to participate in the singing contest to further add to the excitement and enthusiasm of the festival."

 The organizer said the festival is expected to not only promote the desire to work but also help foreign workers improve their working environment by enhancing their understanding of the local community and Korean culture. 

Sokcho Mayor Lee Byung-sun said, "I hope this festival will be an opportunity for all workers in the industrial complex to enjoy together and take a break from their busy daily lives, and we will continue to devise ways for foreign workers working together to quickly assimilate into the community."

Meanwhile, Sokcho Marine Industrial Complex is an industrial complex with three complexes and 120 companies, and plays a pivotal role in the local economy with 1,300 domestic and foreign workers.
