The Goseong Cultural Foundation announced that it will recruit participants to enjoy craft week together ahead of the "2024 Craft Week Craft Culture Base City" CRAFTRIP Goseong.

The craft experience will be held for 10 days from the 17th to the 26th, where you can meet various craft exhibitions and free experiences throughout Goseong, including the Myeongpa Art Hotel, under the theme of nature and the environment.

Applications for participation will be recruited on a first-come, first-served basis from May 3, and can be made through applications announced on the foundation's website and Instagram. You can experience the combination of tradition and modernity, such as making eco-bags with Song Ji-ho motif, making card wallets using scraps of leather, making new crafts, traditional crafts, and Chiang Mai sewing.

"2024 Craft Week" is the nation's largest craft festival organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and hosted by the Korea Craft & Design Promotion Agency, and will be held for the seventh time this year.

This year, the slogan "Urban-Life-Craft Studio," which means meeting crafts and workshops in cities and everywhere in everyday life, was set up, and a total of four craft culture base cities were selected as Gangwon State Goseong-gun, Jinju-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, Buan-gun, Jeollabuk-do, and Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do.

In Goseong-gun, it will be operated throughout Goseong, including "Crafted Goseong," where you can meet craft works on the theme of Goseong's nature and culture, "Koseong with Crafts," a curation exhibition of local specialties, "Goseong with Crafts," "Wisdom carved on Trees," where the values of traditional crafts and cultural heritage meet, and Song Ji-ho Green Craft, Ayajin Eco Craft, its own courtyard with craft, and 21% party, Craft Week Goseong.

An official from the Goseong Cultural Foundation said, "We hope that many county residents and travelers will participate in the Craft Week event as we have provided an opportunity to experience crafts in various fields along with exhibitions."
