Goseong-gun announced that the three-day traditional cultural event, Goseong-gun People's Day and Suseong Cultural Festival, will be held during the rich harvest season when the five-grain white fruit is ripening.

Goseong-gun Residents' Day and Suseong Cultural Festival are the places of festivals where all county residents participate to promote harmony and unity in order to inherit and develop traditional cultural values unique to Goseong-gun and to promote cultural pride and love among the county residents.

This year's Suseong Cultural Festival event marked the eve of the competition with club organizations in the jurisdiction with a more fulfilling program, although some sports games were reduced due to the reduction of project costs.

The county said, "For the event, applications for participation in the county's singing contest will be received until September 21, and participants in the club Hanmadang Contest and Youth Festival will be received until August 30, and each award will be provided to participants."

The Suseong Street Festival, which marks the festival, will be held on Sept. 21 (Saturday/ 13:00 to 19:30) in Gansung-ro, Gansung-eup, with county residents' singing contest preliminary trial (14:00), water bomb Goseong (19:00), flea market operation, street market and various hands-on events. For the event, road control will take place from 09:00 to 21:00 from the Geumgang Agricultural Cooperative Federation in Gansung to the entrance of Gansung Market, and a circular bus will be operated from the Daedae three-way intersection to the entrance of the county office to support the convenience of the residents who wish to participate in the event.

On September 22 (Sun/17:00 to 19:30), the eve of the Suseong Cultural Festival, a club group competition and celebratory performance (Fusion Korean traditional music band "Granada") will be held in the jurisdiction. On September 23 (Mon), the first day of the main event, Suseongje Ritual (09:30), a cigar march and a masquerade (10:30 to 11:00) and a ceremony will be held at Suseongjedan, followed by an opening ceremony (11:00), an opening declaration and a county governor's award. The folk demonstration (12:30 to 15:00) will be a traditional wedding and sijo recital, while the folk game (13:00 to 18:00) will be held at the sports complex, including hitting rubber shoes, a long rope competition, and a big ball rolling run. The celebratory performance (18:00) will feature a culture and art performance and a celebratory performance by invited singers Choi Eun-mi, Dowoon-Girl, N-DAY, and Free Pass on a special stage in front of the general gymnasium.

On the second day, on September 24 (Tue), children's folk games (Cheerful Sports Festival / 13:00-16:00/ Sports Complex), writing contest (14:00-16:00/ Goseong Life Gymnasium), youth festival (16:00-18:00 / Special stage in front of the general gym), and county residents' singing contest (18:00) will end the Suseong Cultural Festival with a singing contest and invited singers Park Ji-hoo, Shin-hyun, and Lady Tea performances from local residents on a special stage in front of the general gymnasium.

Goseong-gun County Governor Ham Myung-joon said, "We ask all of the county residents to pay a lot of attention and participate in the Suseong Cultural Festival event, which allows us to relax our tired minds while enjoying abundant autumn for the harvest season of autumn fruits."
