Sokcho City announced that the "2024 Sokcho Sea Festival," which will blow off the heat of citizens and tourists visiting Sokcho Beach for three days from August 9 to 11, will be held around Sokcho Beach, a representative tourist destination in summer.

The theme-specific events of this festival will provide various and unique eco-friendly and wellness experience programs for coexistence with the environment during the day, and provide both food and entertainment by creating a lively and emotional stage performance at night and a Sokcho Sea Beach pub zone that will blow away the all-time heat with cool beer.

In addition, various events are organized, such as upcycling exhibits using discarded bottle caps and sea life air sculptures in Sokcho Beach's venue, conducting eco-friendly campaigns, and preparing events to provide ESG Sokcho summer souvenirs for participants.

Sokcho City explained, "In line with the carbon neutrality policy of the 8th popular election, this festival will focus on the 'Sustainable Eco-Friendly Summer Festival', the 'Wellness Festival' containing the healing, vitality, and passion of Sokcho Sea, the 'Sokcho Sea Beach Pub', a feast of cool beer on the white sandy beach of Sokcho Beach, and the 'Regional Win-Win Cooperation Festival' with local small business owners."

In particular, Sokcho Sea Beach Pub is an event that gives a cool feeling to the hot summer beach, and 11 famous breweries nationwide, including two leading local craft beer companies, will participate in the event so that they can enjoy various tastes and scents, as well as food in Sokcho, such as chicken gangjeong and octopus gangjeong, which go well with beer, to attract tourists' taste in midsummer.
