Goseong Unification Pollack Festival, a representative festival of Goseong, will be held at Geojin 11-ri Beach in Goseong-gun, Gangwon State for three days from October 11-13.

The county said, "We will select key keywords for 'national fish pollack', 'climate change', and 'blessing', prepare various pollack cooking booths and pollack processed food booths, while establishing programs that reflect the location and culture of the Goseong Unification Pollack Festival, such as up-cycling craft experience to save the sea in response to the climate crisis, kite flying experience to fly bad luck, treasure hunt for luck, mischief photo zone, Mulmung Beach, and pollack beach bar, and further reinforce existing programs to become a festival that can be enjoyed well by men and women of all ages."

In addition, the festival plans to switch to a modern and new festival format under the theme of pollack culture, a symbol of good luck and prosperity, by re-examining the marine history of Goseong, the main production area of pollack, in a traditional festival centered on biological pollack.

The detailed program consists of △Good Luck Show (Safety Prayer, Goseong Eoyo, Opening Show 'Road', Closing Show 'Let's Go 告') △Good Luck Concert (military talent show 'Find a Star', 'Myeongtae Fantasia)' △Good Luck Food (Myeongtae Representative Food Hall) △Good Luck Culture (Myeongtae Main Hall, Myeongtae Craft Base Hall, Myeongtae One-day Class) △Good Luck Game (Sea Playground, Pollack Playground, Bowfish Bare Hands) △Good Luck Vibe (Myeongtae Beach Bar, Mulmung Beach, Barefoot Walking, Stamp Tour) as well as family units, couples, young people, and a variety of tourists who want to feel the culture and art of Goseong can join.

Goseong-gun County Governor Ham Myung-joon said, "This festival consists of a variety of programs that local residents and tourists can enjoy together, so it will be an opportunity for family visitors as well as various age groups to be together," adding, "We hope you will experience the flavor and culture of pollack against the backdrop of the beautiful sea of Goseong."
