Since 2009, the Mulchi-ri fishing community (Lee Kyung-hyun, head of the fishing community) has held the 13th Dorumuk Festival to promote the taste of Dorumuk, a representative fish species in winter on the east coast, and a bountiful harvest, and to foster Yangyang Mulchi Port as a tourist fishing port.
In particular, this festival will also provide visitors with many things to see and enjoy following last year.
Major events include △ Instant singing contest △ Celebratory performances of invited singers and performers △ Local artists' performances △ Spinning the roulette board of sandfish △ Tearing the net sandfish, and market booths such as various sandfish food booths and local agricultural products were prepared to add joy to the festival.
Dorumuk, which starts to be caught in late autumn every year, is a representative fish species on the east coast in winter, and its savory and light taste is excellent. Amdorumuk, which is roasting eggs, is a spicy stew, and male dorumuk is popular for stewing or roasting. At the Dorumuk Festival, a variety of foods using Dorumuk, such as grilled Dorumuk, sailfin sandfish jjigae, kalguksu, and tempura, will also captivate visitors' tastes.
"If you visit the Dorumuk Festival this weekend and enjoy fun performances and experiences with colorful Dorumuk food, you will be able to have a rich weekend by melting the cold," said Lee Kyung-hyun, head of Mulchiri Village. "We will develop the festival into a representative fishing village festival on the east coast."
Meanwhile, a beach market will be held at Hujin Port near Mulchi Port on the 9th and 10th to provide visitors with a variety of attractions along with the Dorumuk Festival. <저작권자 ⓒ 설악타임즈 무단전재 및 재배포 금지>
