▲ Goseong County, Gangwon Province 2024 Winter Youth Olympic Torch Tour Event

Goseong-gun will hold the "2024 Gangwon Winter Youth Olympic Torch Tour" for the eighth time in Gangwon Province at 2 p.m. on November 29 at Goseong General Gymnasium.

About 250 people will attend the event, including Goseong County Governor Ham Myung-joon, Gangwon State Goseong Office of Education Director Huh Wook, officials from the organizing committee for the 2024 Gangwon Winter Youth Olympics, and Goseong Middle and High School students, including school principal Hong Sung-bong.

On the same day, the county will lay a torch lamp on the stage, which contains the vision of a peaceful future that opens with joy, growth, coexistence and harmony, and ignite the torch in order. After the torch event, the OX quiz and the B-boy performance performed by M.B.CREW will continue for 20 minutes.

Even after the cultural performance, various experience opportunities will be provided to teenagers through programs such as recycling keyring production, curling experience, and VR experience to further realize the meaning of the youth Olympics.

"We hope that the 2024 Gangwon Youth Olympics, which will be held for the first time in Asia, will be successfully held, and we ask for a lot of interest and support from the people," said Ham Myung-joon, governor of Goseong.

Meanwhile, the 2024 Gangwon Winter Youth Olympics will be held for 14 days from January 19, 2024 in Pyeongchang, Gangneung, Jeongseon, and Hoengseong, and more than 1,900 people from 70 countries will participate.
