Let's only walk on flower roads in Inje..Inje Autumn Flower Festival Successful
The 2023 Inje Autumn Flower Festival, which opened on September 22 to mark the beginning of Korea's first fall foliage, ended its 31-day pleasant journey on October 22.
This year, more colorful events were held in the Yongdae-ri tourist area in conjunction with the Gangwon World Forest Expo (9.22-10.22).
The number of visitors to the festival exceeded 157,000 in the previous year and exceeded 250,000 in 18 days of its opening. Inje-gun also extended the festival period, which was originally until October 15, by another week until the 22nd, as visitors flocked to enjoy the feast of autumn flowers.
A garden decorated with 320,000 autumn flowers and flower sculptures, a waterfront trail with waterfalls, fountains, and flower pears, and a dense pine forest gave visitors special memories of autumn.
Inje-gun has significantly expanded its parking space compared to last year and operated food restaurants and agricultural specialty stores with modern facilities, further enhancing the satisfaction of visitors. Busking and music performances held throughout the festival venue, as well as various experience programs such as tree climbing, robot dance performances, and AR held in a dense pine forest, were also well received by visitors.
Local residents promoted and sold various agricultural and specialty products directly produced to visitors, contributing to the festival's success.
An official from the Inje-gun Cultural Foundation, who organized the event, said, "We tried to give emotion and rest to those who came to meet the theme of 'Let's walk only flower roads in Inje,'" adding, "We will welcome visitors with a new look next year as much as the reputation of the autumn representative festival." <저작권자 ⓒ 설악타임즈 무단전재 및 재배포 금지>
