▲ Goseong-gun Holds 10th Hydrangea Double Sports Soccer Competition

Goseong-gun will hold the 10th Hydrangea Type Double Sports Soccer Competition for two days from November 4th to 5th in Goseong-gun Sports Town.

Hosted and organized by the Suguk Screening Head Football Scholarship Foundation (Chairman Lee Doo-min), the competition will involve 600 soccer enthusiasts from 23 teams nationwide, with teams in their 50s, 60s, and 70s to determine the winning team through preliminary leagues and knockout rounds.

"We sincerely welcome the visit of all the players who participated in the competition to Goseong-gun to continue their love of soccer by the late Suguk Hyung-doo and develop soccer," said Lee Sang-geun, head of Goseong-gun County. "We hope that participating teams will visit not only soccer, but also fresh seafood in season and Songhak-dong Ancient Tombs, which are registered as UNESCO World Heritage sites, to enjoy food and attractions in our hometown."

Meanwhile, Goseong-gun has been holding the tournament in Goseong-gun for three years, starting with the 6th tournament in 2021 to revitalize sports and soccer, taking over the maintenance of the late Suguk Jeon Hyung-doo, who served as the president of the Gyeongnam Football Association.
