Goseong-gun announced that the Goseong Unification Pollack Festival, a representative festival, will be held at Geojin 11-ri Beach for three days from Friday, October 11.

The county explained, "The Goseong Unification Pollack Festival, which marks its 24th anniversary this year, will be held two weeks ahead of the schedule in consideration of the chilly weather in late October in the Yeongdong region under the new theme of the festival that gives luck with the energy of pollack – Good Luck Festival."

Goseong-gun said that the Goseong Unification Pollack Festival has been directly operated by the Goseong Unification Pollack Festival Committee and has been loved by many tourists for its rich programs such as pollock-related culture, play, and food.

Starting this year, new changes will be attempted in addition to the traditions. The Goseong Cultural Foundation's festival performance team is in charge of the festival and operates it in cooperation with the existing festival committee. The plan is to create a more professional and systematic festival management structure by stably operating the existing program and adding newness.

Under the concept of "Seven Luck Met in Goseong, Good Luck City," the foundation plans to renew programs such as △ catching live fish bare hands △ grilled pollack △ traditional games to express the universal desire of all citizens for happiness, health and well-being through pollack, and to create new programs and booths such as △ Pollack Goods Shop 'Bok Dream' △ Pollack Beach Bar △ Good Luck Concert △ Good Luck Playground △ Good Luck Tour. "Based on the belief of the ups and downs of pollack, Good-Luck, which means 'good luck', is set as the representative theme and emphasizes the cultural value of pollack."

Instead of emphasizing biological pollack that is no longer caught, it will be transformed into a festival that emphasizes cultural aspects such as "liquid membrane" and "bokbokchi" and gives the meaning of "pollack" as a representative national food industry and the representative pollack processing industry.
