Goseong-gun host a weekend night market at Geojin Traditional Market from the 12th
Goseong-gun said that the Geojin Traditional Market Merchants Association plans to run the "Let's Makangwa" at the Geojin Traditional Market every Friday and Saturday from July 12 to August 17.
The weekend night market operation was designed to attract customers to the Geojin traditional market, which is suffering from the economic downturn and rising prices, and to create a vibrant market atmosphere.
The night market, which will open on the 12th, will open a wider variety of traditional market food booths and mobile stands than last year to provide food to county residents and tourists, the county said. "Before the opening of the night market on the weekend, the merchant association and the county inspected stands and electrical facilities, maintained old facilities in public toilets and parking lots, and recruited a total of nine sales stand operators."
Experience events such as roulette games, drumming, traditional games (yutnori, jegi kicking, hand top, scabbing, etc.), beer (glasses straw), flea market (handcraft, perilla oil, dried fish, etc.), local artist performances, invited singer performances, street performances, midsummer night concerts and Myeongmaek parties, water raw fish events, movie screenings (2 times), and prize events (3 times) will be available for all to participate and enjoy.
"Like Let's Macangwa (Let's come and enjoy Geojin traditional market), the theme of this year's event, we will visit the weekend night market with various foods and attractions to revitalize the stagnant local commercial district and support it in various ways to become a traditional market attraction that can be enjoyed together," said Ham Myung-joon, governor of Goseong-gun.
