▲ Sokcho City Museum Holds 2024 Dano Folklore Experience Event

The Sokcho City Museum announced on the 8th that it will hold a 2024 Dano Folklore Experience Event for the whole family to enjoy together on the occasion of Dano, our traditional holiday.

This year's Dano is June 10, but it will be held on the 8th, the previous weekend, so that visitors can enjoy the event comfortably, the museum said. "The Dano experience event is expected to provide a time for adults to revive their childhood memories, children to experience our traditional culture that they have seen in books and learn the wisdom and wisdom of their ancestors."

The event will consist of various traditional cultural experience events such as making Dano-seon, making a pinwheel, making a wish lantern, watering balsam, making a jangmyeongru bracelet, eating experience such as making Surichwi rice cake, making misugaru, and performances by the Sokcho City Pungmul Troupe.

An official from the Sokcho City Museum said, "We have planned various seasonal folk experience events related to Dano, a traditional holiday of our people, to enhance and spread the understanding of traditional culture as well as to entertain Sokcho citizens and visitors, so we hope that citizens and visitors will participate."
